Initiated in spring 2023, the focus of this interchange is to forge diplomacy through art, inspire each other through cross-cultural exposure, and to expose the artwork to broader audiences in both countries. Thus far, the project has spawned two trips by American artists to Cuba, two exhibitions in Havana, several Cuba-related events and four shows featuring Cuban artists here in San Antonio.
